D-Day Tanks

www.d-daytanks.org.uk is a Tank Museum sister site.

History knows only one D-Day, 6 June 1944 when Allied forces landed in occupied France and began the liberation of Europe. In reality every Allied operation of the war had a D-Day when it was scheduled to take place and an H-Hour when it actually started.

Created to commemorate the 60th anniversary of D-Day, this site contains a wealth of information on the specially adapted tanks and vehicles used by the Allied armies during this operation.

You can also find out about the various armoured regiments that took part in the assault, read their accounts and a number of other articles relating to this momentous date in world history.
