The Curator in the Library
The document archive is equally extensive. It includes handbooks, technical manuals and historical documents covering all aspects of tanks and military transport.
These are supported by documents on training, tactics and techniques of armoured warfare in all periods and technical reports on captured equipment.
However, the most significant part of this collection is the archive of War Diaries covering virtually every regiment of the Royal Armoured Corps in the Second World War.
The photographic archive is one of the largest of its kind in the world, containing well over 250,000 images of combat vehicles, support equipment and personnel.

The Tank Museum library is international in its scope and has a world wide reputation. It is also designated as an official repository for public records. It provides records for the Ministry of Defence, industry, publishers and film makers in addition to authors, model makers and enthusiasts.
