Thomas Arthur Beresford Copestake

COPESTAKE, Captain Thomas Arthur Beresford, MC

Thomas Copestake was born in 1897 and commissioned into the Royal Artillery as 2nd Lieutenant in 1916. Captured on the 21st March 1918, during the German spring offensive, he was repatriated in December 1918. He transferred to the Tank Corps in 1920 and served with the Armoured Car Companies of the Tank Corps on the North-West Frontier. He was promoted Captain in 1928 and Major in 1937.

Thomas Copestake died in 1940 aged 42 in Kenya.
