13th Battalion Tank Corps

For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty near Hamel on July 4th 1918.
During this attack, this NCO showed great ability and courage in driving his tank. While on his final objective, and in full view of the enemy, his tank was badly ditched. His coolness and bravery under difficult circumstances were a splendid example to the remainder of his crew, who eventually succeeded in getting the tank out of danger.
