United Nations Korea Medal 1950-1953

National variants were produced, the British type was granted to all personnel of the British and Commonwealth forces who had served at least one full day in Korea or in support units in Japan. There is a single clasp inscribed 'KOREA'.

The obverse is a wreathed globe emblem of the United Nations. The reverse is inscribed 'FOR SERVICE IN DEFENCE OF THE PRINCIPLES OF THE CHARTER OF THE UNITED NATIONS'. The blue in the ribbon (17 narrow blue and white stripes) represents the blue of the United Nations flag.
