Silver Jubilee Medal 1935
Designed by Sir William Goscombe John, RA this medal was struck to commemorate the twenty fifth anniversary of the Coronation of King George V. It was issued in silver only and 85,000 medals were distributed.
The obverse shows left-facing conjoined half-length busts of King George V and Queen Mary in crowns and robes of state. The reverse has a crowned GRI monogram flanked by the dates of the accession and the jubilee.
The ribbon is red with two dark blue and one white stripe at each edge.
