| From the 1st of April 2006, an entrance ticket to The Tank Museum will allow visitors unlimited return visits for a year. |
The Museum's General and Operations Manager Nik Hunt said; "This offer gives our visitors unprecedented value for money."
From April onwards, visitors will no longer purchase an admission ticket, rather an annual `membership` that will allow the purchaser to come and go to The Tank Museum as they please for a 365 day period. However, the Museum may specify 5 special event days in that 365-day period on which this annual ticket will be exempt.
"Visitors will now be able to browse our globally unique and extensive collections at their own pace without feeling overwhelmed", said Nik. "Our visitors usually spend 3 hours in The Museum examining the 300 vehicles and exhibitions - but they always report that they could have spent much longer looking around as there is so much to see. Now they can, and for no extra cost."
"As a charity, we do not operate like a business. We are not here purely to make money; we are here to ensure that the community is able to get the most out of the heritage on their doorstep. We hope that people will take advantage of these new rules to enjoy all we have to offer." added Nik. |
