The music of Glenn Miller is surely the most instantly recognisable sound in modern music.
|
In this evening of unashamed big band nostalgia, the Glenn Miller Tribute Orchestra faithfully recreates the wonderful sound of the bygone era, with classics such as Pennsylvania 65000 , In The Mood , and Moonlight Serenade.
Joining the orchestra on stage, three fabulous vocalists sing some of the Andrews Sisters' biggest hits of the period, including Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy and Mr. Sandman . The Museum will have some of it’s finest tanks on display around the stage area, adding to the wonderful 40’s atmosphere.
The concert draws to a stunning finale as it closes with a breathtaking fireworks display set to music.
Why not treat yourself and your family to a night of music under the stars? Pack a picnic, chill the wine and go along to enjoy over two hours of wonderful live music and stunning fireworks.
The concert will have a refreshments and bar facility available on site, together with luxury toilets and disabled facilities. Bring along your own seating or blankets and cushions for comfort. The Tank Museum has ample free car parking on site so getting to the concert of your choice will be no problem.
The grounds open at 6.00pm each evening and the concerts start at 7.30pm.
Fireworks bring the evening to a close at approximately 10.15pm
