Amongst the towering collection of armour, visitors to The Museum over the 24th & 25 th of September will have the added bonus of witnessing the 15 th annual South West Model Expo – the biggest model exhibition in the South.
Museum spokesman Nik Wyness said; “This is a successful annual event that attracts well over 2000 visitors from all over the country. Inside the museum there will be a variety of stalls and 1800 feet of display tables from the leading model makers in the country. They will be bringing a number of different radio controlled vehicles from tanks to planes. Outside, visitors can browse a number of full size classic cars, American cars and steam engines – and see radio controlled cars race at speeds in excess of 60mph.”
Amongst exhibitors will be the Dorset Capri club, who will be raffling off a fully road ready classic Ford Capri.
Nik Wyness added; “This event is ideal for both enthusiasts and those who are simply curious. There will certainly be plenty to see and do, with visitors being given the chance to have a go themselves – taking part in radio controlled tank battles and learning build and fly their own aircraft models.”
