The
Tank Museum has appointed a new
Commercial and Operations Manager
to oversee business development during
the Museums £16m lottery backed redevelopment.
|
27 year old Nik Hunt
of Bournemouth, said; "These are exciting times
at The Tank Museum, with a multi-million pound expansion
just around the corner. I am looking at ways to boost
our audience numbers, so that they better reflect the
unique nature of our collection - which is the broadest
and most important collection of Tanks in the world."
"There is already good news to report," says
Nik, who is a graduate of Brunel University with a degree
in Tourism, "Figures show that the recent half
term was a great success for us. We hosted a variety
of family activities which drew in over 10% more visitors
than the equivalent half term week last year.
"This looks like a great start to what we hope
will be a fantastic summer season."
Nik, who has a passion for WWII history, was formerly
a Park Manager for Hoburne Naish Holiday Park in New
Milton.
He added; "For anyone with a passion for history,
there can be few places more interesting to work than
Dorset's biggest and most exciting museum."
