The Household Cavalry and Royal Armoured Corps recruiting team will be displaying three modern vehicles along with the ammunition and kit they use in combat.
Museum spokesman Nik Wyness said; “At The Tank Museum this summer, the public will have an exclusive opportunity to see the world’s finest collection of historic armoured fighting vehicles, and compare these with the hardware in use with the army today.
“Thanks to our continuing ties with the Royal Armoured Corps, visitors will be able to meet the crews and climb inside the vehicles to discover how modern tank crews work together.”
The Household Cavalry will be bringing the modern Challenger 2, which is arguably the best tank in the world, and visitors will be able to see it put through its paces during the explosive Tanks In Action Display.
Scorpion , a smaller reconnaissance tank, and Striker, a light weight anti-tank missile carrier will also be on display.
