BAE Systems have donated 250 limited edition prints to The Tank Museum,
which they are selling to help raise money
for the Museum’s redevelopment project. |
The original painting by Mark Bromley titled `A Chieftain Mark 3 on exercise in 1978` was also donated to The Museum when the British defence giant handed the Museum a cheque for £300,000 towards the At Close Quarters redevelopment project, that will see the Museum transformed into a modern cutting edge visitor attraction.
Fundraising Manager Sarah Rutherford-Jones said; “We are delighted to receive this critical support from BAE systems, which brings us much closer to our fundraising target. The donation of these special limited edition prints, signed by the artist, will go along way to help us reach our goal – for which we are most grateful.”
The painting of oil on canvas depicts one of Britain’s most successful Main Battle Tanks, with its turret turned as it prowls over a muddy track.
The prints will sell for £70 , or £120 framed. [please note: the framed print has a courier (post and package) cost of £17.50 UK only not available to overseas, the print is £70 plus £3.50 post and packaging for UK [all other countries post and packaging is at cost.]
