RICHARD HOLMES TO WALK
IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF CHURCHILL AT TANK MUSEUM

News Release issued: 1st November 2005

TV historian Professor Richard Holmes will continue the series of lectures at The Tank Museum with a presentation based on his recent book and television series.

Professor Holmes recently concluded an acclaimed BBC series about the life of Winston Churchill; from his schooling, exploits as a soldier and journalist during the Boer War, and his celebrated years as Prime Minister during World War Two.

Museum spokesman Nik Wyness said; “We are privileged to welcome back Professor Holmes, who gave a captivating lecture last year to an audience of over 300 people. This talk will be unmissable for anyone who has enjoyed any of Holmes’s TV series or books, or is simply fascinated by the man who was voted the greatest Briton of all time.”

“In The Footsteps of Churchill” begins at 1930hrs on Thursday 17th November
at The Tank Museum, where Professor Holmes will also be signing copies of his new book.
