Family Activity trail! |
| |
Designed to entertain and educate all members of the
family,
this exciting new trail was officially opened on 11th
February 2002
by Lord Evans of Temple Guiting CBE, the Chairman of
Resource
(The Council for Museums, Archives and Libraries). |
|
| There
are six stations situated throughout the Museum. |
They
offer full interactivity for all members of the family from
7 years upwards
(with no upper age limit - in fact the interactivity usually
increases the older you are!) |
| You
are positively encouraged to: |
 |
|
|
|
|
| as we demonstrate firepower, armour
and mobility using scientific fact and anecdotal reference |
The Family Trail endorses aspects
of the Museum's current interpretation by appealing to the
needs of families, as well as adults with special interests
and school groups.
It supplies more hands on exhibits, improves context and provides
a greater variety of interpretive approaches. Plus it's great
fun! |
| The six stations include interactives,
'WOW' factors and true-life experiences by the crew who fought
in them and for the very young there are different shapes
that can be punched onto a card to act as a souvenir and reminder
of their visit. |
