World of Tanks to Sponsor Tankfest

The publishers of the free-to-play video game `World of Tanks` are  sponsoring TANKFEST 2016.

It will be the fourth year that Wargaming.net have partnered with The Tank Museum to sponsor what is a vital fundraising event.

Tankfest Crew Days

Crew daysSpend the day with a Tank Crew at Tankfest!

Brand new for 2016! We are offering you the chance to make your Tankfest experience extra special by spending the day embedded with The Tank Museum Workshop team. This will include the chance to explore and take a ride in a tank of your choice (from the list below), during a Tankfest display.

They will be sold on a first come first served basis. Guests may choose one tank for their experience on one of the days at Tankfest.

Tankfest Guest ArmourLeopard 2

Every year at  The Tank Museum displays some of the finest armour from its collection. What makes the day extra special is the guest armour which  visitors don’t usually have an opportunity to see. Among the highlights for this year will be an M18 Hellcat, Stuart M5A1 and a Leopard 2 from Holland.

The British Army at Tankfest

Chally 2At this year's Tankfest, soldiers from the Armoured Trials and Development Unit (ATDU) and the Army’s Centre of Excellence (ARMCEN) will be demonstrating 11 of the British Army’s latest armoured fighting vehicles, including the types of vehicles that have seen action in recent conflict zones such as Iraq and Afghanistan.

The Army’s current Main Battle Tank, Challenger 2, will roar around the arena accompanied by recognisable vehicles like the Scimitar and Jackal. All of the vehicles will then be on static display in the Tank Park at Tankfest, where visitors can take a closer look and talk to the soldiers who crew them. 


Bath tubLeopard Tank Rides

Brand new for Tankfest 2016! Rides in a turretless Leopard 2 will be on offer at Tankfest as part of the Vehicle Rides fleet. 

Tickets will cost £10 and can be bought at the rides entrance at the event.


Tankfest Shuttle Bus
