Ronald Brewer

1927-1952

The obituary in the Regimental Journal of 5th Inniskilling Dragoon Guards 1951/1952 (Korea) reads:

"Cpl. Brewer, late of the 10th Hussars, serving with the 8th Hussars, volunteered to stay on in Korea with the Regiment. A "Tug" driver and commander of considerable skill, he was never happier than when things were "lively", and was always in search of escitement. Two or three days before his death he was complaining that the war was too static and that he hoped it would soon open up. A man of genuine adventurous spirit, of whom there are all too few these days."
