The Tank Museum welcomes groups all year round and offers FREE on-site parking for cars, mini-buses and coaches.

Group Rates 

(10 or more paying people)

Adults: £9.10 - a saving of 30% from our standard admission price!
Children (5-16): £6.00 – a saving of over 30% from our standard admission price!
Disabled Adult: £9.10 (includes FREE Carer)
Disabled Child (5-16): £6.00 (includes FREE Carer)

Free Familiarisation Visit: group travel organisers and excursion planners 

Coach Driver Offer: free entry (with relevant accreditation) and £10.00 restaurant voucher

 * Please note that the group rate does not include an Annual Pass. Prices available only for PRE BOOKED groups who pay as a group.

Guided Tours*

To enhance your group’s visit, The Tank Museum can offer three exclusive private tours to make the most of your visit. The three tours available are:

Access to First World War Tank

/cms-images/Mark IV in WW1 Hall_16 734x394 Climb inside this rare British Mark IV and discover what life was like for the crew (minimum of 12 people). This is an exclusive tour only for group visitors. £60 for up to 25 people. 

Tank Story Hall Tour

A walking tour of the museum’s flagship exhibition hall exploring the history of armoured warfare from the first tank prototype ‘Little Willie’ to the present day ‘Challenger II’ (maximum 25 people per tour). £30 per 25 people.  

Tommy In The Trenches Tour


Walk in the footsteps of a World War One Soldier – from the recruiting office to the front line trenches. £30 per 25 people. 

Smaller groups and individuals can also have a guided tour for the same rate. 

 * Please note that tours must be booked and confirmed at least seven days in advance of the visit and are subject to availability.

Specialty Groups

Youth Groups: Children under 16 must be accompanied by adults at all times. The minimum ratio is one adult to 10 children. Scouts, Cubs, Guides and Cadets are able to have free places for group leaders, 1 adult is admitted free per 10 children. Please contact us with the above details to make a booking for your group. 

School Visits:
School groups qualify for the education entrance rate and are offered workshops linked to the National Curriculum. If you would like to book a school trip to the Museum please click here.

Military Groups:
Currently serving members of the Military from any country with a valid MOD90 Card or equivalent will gain free admission to the Museum on standard admission days along with a complimentary Tank Story Hall Tour (does not include Special Event Days such as Tiger Days or TANKFEST). A Tour Guide will be assigned to you per 25 personnel, larger groups may be split to avoid congestion on the Museum floor.

Please book with us at least 7 days in advance of your visit, any visit not booked with us in advance will not receive a Complimentary Tour.

Getting here by Coach

For cars, bicycles, and public transport (Bus & Train), please see our Find Us page here.

Coaches can drop their passengers off near the Museum entrance, but please ensure that coaches park down the side of the Museum past the main car parks. Alternatively if your guests are comfortable to walk directly from the parking area to the Museum (approx 200 yards) then there is a pathway to do so. If you require assistance on arrival (wheelchairs or a helping hand), please let us know.
