Tanks In Action Display – Every Weekday

/cms-images/Tanks in Action smallSee Tanks roll into action at 1pm every weekday, starting on Monday 22nd October. Realistic lifelike explosions and expert commentary. Learn how tanks have evolved and how they are used in battle in this action.

Vehicle Rides – Every Day

/cms-images/Vehicle Rides smallExperience for yourself the thrill of riding in an M548 tracked vehicle. This working example of military hardware seats 16 at a time – so the whole family can jump on together. Available every day, 1.30pm - 4.30pm *, during the holidays, a £4 pp charge applies.

*On Monday the 22nd of October the last vehicle ride will be at 3pm.

First World War Talks | Wednesday 24th

Hear eminent tank historian David Fletcher discuss the vehicles for the planned 1919 offensive and First World War expert Stephen Pope on local tank crewman during the Great War. 

11:00 - Tanks for 1919’

Join Tank Museum historian, David Fletcher, for a presentation on the tanks designed for the next phase of war; the Mark V**, Mark VIII, Mark IX and the Medium D.

14:00 - ‘The First Dorset Tank Crewmen’

Learn about the men who fought in the first tank battle, on 15 September 1916, who came from Dorset and their lives after the war ended.
